At the age of 27, Zhou Tao was promoted to be the professor and doctorial tutor in UESTC. Now, he serves as the director of UESTC’s big data research center.
Professor Zhou Tao is a co-founder and the chief scientist of BBD, establishing basic data frames and providing technical directions for the technical team.Under the guidance of Prof. Zhou Tao, BBD’s data team applies complex networks to modeling and analyzing the complex systems in real situations; the team obtains a profound understanding of the multi-relations between data by digging out the hidden information and generalizing the rules of data’s variation; also, the team probes into and predicts the data patterns and evolvement rules behind data variation over time.

Yuan Xianzhi(George) used to be the director of risk management consulting business in KPMG, the director of financial consulting in Delloite China/Hong Kong, and the director of TXU Energy Trading. He was awarded as the Best Scientist of the year in 2003 Shanghai Municipal 1000-talent Program, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce Best Scientist Award, and 1998 Queensland University Principal Award for Best Young Scientist.
Ph.D. Yuan Xianzhi(George) is BBD’s Senior Vice President and Chief Risk 0fficer. He is responsible for BBD product’s financial risk management models in terms of online value, management scheme, quota management, stress testing, post review, and etc., and applies them to the calculation of risks related to the interest rate, foreign exchange, bulk commodities, stock market, and credit derivatives.
David Wu is the Executive Director for EY FSRM （Financial Service Risk Management）Advisory team who based in Shanghai, PRC. He is leading a team on creating digital solutions （BD&A，Cloud & Block Chain etc.）for Financial Industry in China as well as risk transformation and innovation solutions.
Prior to EY, David Wu was the Big Data worldwide Industry consulting leader/Risk Solution Leader and worldwide Risk Tiger for IBM. In those role, he is responsible for coordinating IBM big data/risk solutions for Banking Industry, covering all IBM GBS service and SWG software including Big Data scenario design, risk management consulting and implementation, concentrating on those offerings that are relevant to the Banking industry. His role includes Go To Market strategy design and execution.
David is a Financial Services industry veteran, with 20 years of experience supporting solutions in the Industry, and 5 years with IBM. Prior to his IBM life, David served as a Risk Solution Director for Atos Consulting Singapore Lte., Singapore (2007-2010) and as the Senior Manager for Scotiabank and Scotia Capital in Toronto, Canada (1997-2007).
David has deep experience in retail, corporate banking, and financial markets. He is a member of IBM world wide banking framework (big data/risk) team and a member of IBM GMU thought leader. He also served as an external advisor for China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC). He is also a visiting professor for Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. He has been interviewed by many China famous presses regarding FInTech in China (Xin Hua News Agency, Business Week etc.) and invited as speaker in a lot of top-tired forums.
David earned his BS degree Electronic Engineering at The East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, and holds an MBA from the York University, Schulich School of Business, Toronto

Graduating from Fudan University, Dr. Chen Qin used to teach at the School of Economics at his Alma Mater. His papers were publicized on China Economic Review, Economic Research, China Economic Quarterly, Financial Research, etc.
Currently, Dr. Chen serves as the Chief Economist of BBD Index, and is in charge of the overall planning of the design of various indexes, theoretical support, data management and algorithm design at BBD. Simultaneously, as the bridge connecting BBD and the institutions of higher learning, he is committed to the exchange, communication and complementation of resources between the circle of big data and the economics circle. In this manner, Dr. Chen aims to render stronger theoretical support to BBD and enrich the academia with more data resources.
